Ranscombe Farm Reserve is a nationally important site for rare wild plants and the flagship nature reserve of the conservation charity, Plantlife. It is a place that can tell us huge amounts about the extraordinary lifestyles of wildflowers, about the long and complex relationships between people and plants, about what it takes to create a nature reserve, and even about the future direction of nature conservation in these islands.

This book presents some of the stories of Ranscombe and its wild plants – and other wildlife – told in a personal style by someone who has known and loved the place and its plants for more than fifty years.
