by Eric Philp
The long awaited update to the original Flora of Kent written by eminent Kent naturalist Eric Philp.
A New Atlas of the Kent Flora is a milestone in our knowledge of Kentish plants representing a thorough botanical survey of the administrative county of Kent over the period 1991 to 2005. It identifies changes in plant distribution since the previous Atlas (published in 1982 and itself the first Kentish flora since 1899).
More than 250,000 records covering over 2,500 taxa have been made by one recorder, Eric Philp, who has unrivalled knowledge of the county. This guarantees an exceptional level of consistency in recording and identification.
Hardback A4 format c. 350 pages fully illustrated in colour with over 1,100 distribution maps and numerous photographs. An essential for anyone interested in the Kentish Flora and countryside.
